The states have authority over marriages and divorces.
States can require vaccinations for school children and licenses for such professionals as doctors, teachers, and lawyers.

States can issue licenses to those who hunt, fish, and drive motor vehicles.

It can also set speed limits on state highways.

Finally, the citizens of a state can look to the state police to safeguard their homes and highways.

there are three powers states share with the federal government these three powers Examples of such powers are the power to tax and borrow money; the power of eminent or to stand out, to take property for the public good; the power to define crimes and the power to enact laws and establish courts.

this is the country's responsibility

Describe a situation in which the police might be able to obtain a warrant to search a house or a building.
when the police man think the people might be selling drugs and/or a suspect to a crime.

Do you think it is fair to force people to open their homes to soldiers during wartime? Why or why not?

no i do not think they should because the solgers could get attacked any time and get the civilians houses distoied

on the other hand they can be healping them and the civilians wont get illed because the could be on there way to battel and they can be miles away.

the amendments

Describe one argument for and one argument against gun control. What is your opinion on the issue?

guns need to be banded in the house unless u have a permeate to go hunting.

People often bring guns into there house and go hunting with out a permanent. and if someone was to get mad at some one in there house they can get the gun and kill them if the guns are not put away.

On the other hand the guns can be locked up and used for protection against burglars and murderers like the guy that hurasted his mother and was found drinking coffee in Irvings.

  • Post your opinion on your blog about an issue being discussed at a local school board meeting.

  • this one is protected by freedom press
  • Circulate a petition calling for the repeal of an unpopular law.

  • this one is protected by freedom of petition

  • Write a letter for the editorial page of a newspaper in which you criticize a state legislator.

  • this one is protected by the freedom of the press

  • the first amendment is important to me because the press tells us important things that we need to know. we need the freedom of speech for the president to tell us what is going on what he is doing to our army's and our state. we need freedom of petition to vote agenced laws that we don't want.
